Show begins with Tara crying that Laura was booted off instead of Kristin. Mind you, Laura had a hip fracture and really could not walk. Jillian went to Tara’s room to shape her up and tell her she was selfish.
The contestants met up to play the food and fitness trivia quiz. Ali was going to give them all four trivia questions, then check in with the experts at Good Housekeeping magazine to see what the correct answers would be. The winner would get a fully expensed three-day trip to New York City with deluxe accommodations. The trivia challenge came down to Kristin and Mike playing in sudden-death overtime. The final question was about a fast food fried fish sandwich and Mike was only off by five calories when guessing the totals. Kristin was shocked she had lost the challenge.

The next challenge had the teams in cages, raised 45 feet up in the air and holding a rope. The rope’s job was to keep the players suspended in the air; the moment the rope was released, the cage would drop to the ground. The player that held on the longest would win $10,000, or the winner could trade in the money for a one-pound advantage. And of course Tara won. This is her 5th challenge win in a row.

At weigh in Tara takes the $10,000 and not the one pound. She is confident that she has lost enough weight to keep in the game. She weighs in first and lost 5 pounds. At the end of the weigh in, Helen and Kristin are below the line. What is even harder is that Kristin gained 1 pound. Kristin is sent home. When they follow Kristin home her whole family is elated about how much weight she has lost and gave a motivating speech to a group at a hotel. She may not have won The Biggest Loser title on the show, but she the winner when it comes to motivating others and herself.
