Hey Friends!

Hope this finds you well and healthier then the day before. Did you enjoy the Olympics? I love the winter Olympics. It just amazes me the incredible things people can do on skis, snow boards and skates. I am also glad my favorite show is back on…The Biggest Loser! Did you know that there is also The Biggest Loser Show in Australia? I did not realize that Bob and Jillian are also there. What dedicated people.

Well, I have taken a leap of faith and am applying to be on the Biggest Loser Show. I am going to the Detroit open casting call March 13. For me the Biggest Loser is my hope and I want to have the opportunity to share that hope with others who are bound by their obesity like I am. See, I have never been thin…never ever…I do not know what it feels like or what I would look like thin. I have not been able to connect the eating, exercise and lifestyle to get it to work for me. I believe if I got the opportunity to be on the show I could connect it all together. Believe me I have tried…I have been on diets since I have been 8 years old…that is 34 years of my life! Do you know what happens to obese children? They become obese adults and tend to have their own obese children. It’s a vicious cycle to live in. It’s not my effort and yes I have a million excuses to go along with why I am fat.

It would be so cool to be drinking the Designer Whey Biggest Loser Protein Powder while on the show! I would be so geeked to do that! Whether I get on or not is not what matters. What matters is that I draw inspiration from the crowd of people who have just as much chance as me to be on the show. I heard in Chicago that 1000 people tried out. I think there should be Biggest Loser Shows in every town. This program brings miracles to desperate people seeking answers and hope. What’s sad is that our insurance companies will pay for us to have gastric bypass and not set up programs like the biggest loser ranch.

Oh it’s been a beautiful sunny week here is Michigan. So glad to say to my kids “Go out and play!” Opened up a few windows to let some fresh air in, felt so good. I have to admit to my friends who read this… I have not been to the gym in over 2 weeks! My excuse…I was in charge of our school carnival and was extremely busy. But now that the carnival is over, I got to get back to the gym! I have to figure a way to get some equipment at home so on the days I don’t have the time to go to the gym I could at least do a workout at home, I suppose I could do that anyway and should. One of the Biggest Loser winners, Bill Germanakos suggested like on the ranch get a doctor, therapist, nutritionist and trainers…just do it. Something to consider…putting together a team of people to help us. Of course my program must include Designer Whey. Designer Whey has supported my weight loss journey for a long time now and even though I have struggles with my weight all along they have always been there to suggest and give advice… Love these guys!

I need to keep going, get back on track, and figure this out. I am about to send my oldest off to college with my eating habits and my exercises habits and I am afraid for her. She is already 30 pounds overweight. We visited the campus…let me tell you these kids have the best food available from 7 am until midnight, 7 days a week. All the ice cream they want…huge portions…all the soda pop they want…all the desserts they want…I am scared for my daughter that she will follow my footsteps…
So my friends on March 13 I hope you send me a special thought as I wait for my turn to have the opportunity of a lifetime so that I can bring that hope back home to my daughter, family and friends.

Take Care,
Camille

Hey Friends!

Just got back from the gym, burned 812 calories. I had a friend ask me why I was not extremely sore for all I do. I said, “Well, after I work out I drink a bottle of Designer Whey Protein Water”. Generally when a person my size works out we are just about dying in pain the next day. Now, don’t get me wrong, I am achy but not sore. I contribute that to drinking the Protein Water and if I am out of the water I mix a 2GO pack in my water bottle. It really helps you recover.

The Biggest Loser show was a hoot this week! Some pretty thick tension on the ranch… ya think? I don’t know, I would do what ever I had to do to stay as long as possible on the ranch so GO RED! I really would not even care about the money. I would be more concerned with trying to get the most out of my time there so I could bring what I learned home to stay healthy. I get to the gym at least 5 days a week and at least 30 minutes up to 90 minutes each time. I really wished I had a home gym, then I could get in much more time when a moment was open like while dinner was cooking or after kids in bed or before they get up.

One of my faults is wanting to be too perfect. For example, I will draw up a schedule for eating, exercise, house work, my jobs etc. and when it does not go exactly the way I plan I give up. When the house is not perfectly clean (which is most of the time) I really get upset but because its not perfect I don’t do anything. I am typically an ‘all or nothing person’. So this time I am setting simple goals for my health.

A simple goal… eating enough calories at breakfast.

In Bob Harper’s book “Are you ready”, he says your breakfast calories should be between 400-600 calories. All meals should have protein, carbs and good fats. He also says to eat every four hours… have to work on that one!

My 17 year old daughter, Sue and I are really trying to get to the gym as often as possible. She has a goal. We bought her prom dress purposely a size too small. Her goal is to lose 15 pounds to fit in the dress. I as her mom have to encourage her and be a good example.

Take Care friends, remember to bring your Designer Whey Protein Water to the gym with you and when some one asks where you get it from…you say from the best protein makers in the world…Designer Whey!

Hey Friends,

Back from vacation and back to reality. We had a great time. It was cold in Florida; we wore our winter coats to the beach! We took a boat out to watch for dolphins. We were able to spot few dolphins and it was one of the warmest days we had. Kids swam with the dolphins on another adventure but it was only 58 degrees so they were just a bit little cold. My older two kids did indoor sky diving, lots of fun! One thing I noticed on vacation is I do not over eat; nor am I stressed. I feel like having my kids live out of a suit case and only a few toys. I don’t know why but my kids do not trash grandma’s trailer. My conclusion is a few things and that is at home they do not respect our home; they have too many clothes and way too many toys, too much TV and not enough fun. Now to bring the vacation behavior back in our home!

I finally got to watch the Biggest Loser show. I missed the first one because we were in Florida and did not have access to TV. But I did get to watch the 2nd show and am very excited for the new contestants. Their success is my hope. The difference between the contestants and me is they have a support system, they have the education, they have the equipment and the trainers. So I have to figure out how to have such a system.

I did join our local Fitness 19 and I can tell, physically, I am improving every time I go. It feels good to accomplish exercising. Sometimes I wish my family would step aside and make sure I get the time to go more often. It would be even better if I could have a treadmill at home but at this point we can’t afford it so at the gym it has to be. Fitness 19 is only $12.00 a month per person so it’s affordable. I am proud to say I was able to walk on the treadmill for 5 miles at an incline 4.0-4.5 and the rate of 3.0-3.5 and I burned over 1000 calories!

Today, Fox Reality had a Biggest Loser Marathon from Season 4 when Bill Germanakos won. I wonder what ever happened to Kim the trainer.

Some cool tips I wrote down…

If it had a mother it is protein.
All meals and snacks should have a combination of Carbs, Protein and Fat.
If your body is burning sugar it is not burning fat.
Anything is possible if you put in the work.

Remember to eat, move, then rest. I used to move, eat, then rest. I had it wrong. It’s all about moving forward and working toward our mark. For years I ate next to nothing and now have learned that is not the right way. You have to eat!

Oh! oh! oH! OH! I figured out a cookie recipe using Designer Whey Vanilla Protein Powder.

Designer Whey Chocolate Chip Cookies
Kid tested!
Makes about 3 dozen

½ cup butter (room temperature)
½ cup Sun Crystals (new stevia/cane mix) or splenda
2 tablespoon regular brown sugar or 1 tablespoon brown sugar splenda
2 large egg whites
1 teaspoon real vanilla extract
1 ½ cups of Designer Whey Vanilla Protein Powder
½ teaspoon baking soda (you can add an extra Ÿ teaspoon if you like puffy cookies)
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon milk (2 tablespoons if you like thinner cookies)
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate mini-chips

Preheat oven to 375. In a medium mixing bowl, beat butter and sun crystals or slenda until well blended. Add the egg whites and vanilla; beat well. In a separate bowl mix the Designer Whey Powder, baking soda, salt, slowly add to the butter mix along with the milk until well blended. Stir in the mini chocolate chips. Drop by using a teaspoon onto an ungreased non-stick cookie sheet. Bake 7-8 minutes. Remove from pan right away onto a cooling rack, Cool completely. Enjoy!

Peanut Butter Version

Add ½ cup peanut butter
Increase baking soda by Âź teaspoon
Increase milk to 2 tablespoons
Omit the chocolate chips if you want
Smash down with a fork making criss-cross design

When you first take the cookies out of oven they have the consistency similar to cake but let sit over night out and they will be crispy. It is true you can replace flour with Designer Whey Vanilla Protein Powder in baking! Yey Whey!

Have a great week friends. Watch Biggest Loser Tuesdays!

Dec 15, 2009

Hey Friends,

I had to take a few days to absorb the Biggest Loser Finale.

I am just amazed.  Danny and losing as much as he did…over 200 pounds in 7 months! That’s about a pound a day. To accomplish that, you have to have total cooperation from your family and friends. I need that. I started a weight loss group just for those of us in the Grand Rapids area in Facebook. You can become my friend, just look me up, Camille Gibson. Designer Whey also has a fan page as well. Start a local group of your own. The Biggest Loser Show said many times how much having supports helps. Oh, did you hear Danny’s song? It’s only 99 cents and part of the proceeds goes to make a wish foundation. His new website is http://www.thedannycahill.com . I think Danny looks a lot like Mel Gibson. What do you think?

tbl winner danny1Mel_Gibson

I felt bad for my girl Liz. She worked hard to be one of the final three. I think Amanda was picked because America chose her in the beginning. I am happy for her as well. I was amazed at all the at home players. I think the one I least recognized was Julio.wow! What a difference! Whey to go Rebecca! You did an awesome job! I can’t believe the next season is only a few weeks away in January.

I am proud of myself! I signed up for at Fitness 19 to work out Monday, Wednesday, Friday. My husband encouraged me and my daughter to just go and he made the time for us to do it. I have been walking 3 miles in one hour on the treadmill and my daughter did 3.2 on the elliptical in 45 minutes. I need this equipment in my home! Life Fitness is having a contest to win a home gym and I entered on Monday. Send to Life Fitness “pick Camille’s essay”  good vibes would ya? I love the Life Fitness treadmill. It told me what heart rate I needed to lose fat and it took my pulse then adjusted itself to keep my heart rate at the level it needed to be. Nice not to have to think, I just kept walking and the machine did all the figuring! What’s great is because my heart rate did not go too high I was able to keep my breath and finish the work out. That felt good to do. Now, I just have to keep doing it!!

I don’t know about you but Christmas is sneaking up on me. I am far from being ready. Our tree gets decorated on December 15th every year. That’s my oldest’s birthday and it’s now a 17 year tradition. Though her sisters would have like to decorate the tree when we got it this weekend. It was cute, we got our tree and it was soaking wet and full of snow so my youngest 2 suggested we blow dry the tree with a hair dryer. FUNNY!

Well Friends, I am trying… are you? Drink your whey… every day.

Camille

Wow! WOW! I am floored by the Biggest Loser show last night. I am in awe of how much weight the final four have lost. Danny-holy cow over 200 pounds! Just amazing!

All four finished the 26.2 mile Marathon and the amazing people at Designer Whey are donating $40,000 to charities! (Hey, do I count as a charity? lol) Whey 2GO Designer Whey! I get choked up just thinking about the looks on the contestants’ faces when they crossed the finish line. My mind is so full of thoughts of joy and jealousy, hope and doubt, wanting to do something yet doing nothing; it’s just a whirl wind sometimes when you are dealing with being obese. Sometimes it’s hard to make any decisions because so many are to be made. But one thing I get is to not give up, keep going! My favorite saying in last nights show is, “Feel the fear, move threw it, then do it anyway”.

Danny touched my heart when he talked about his family and then his wife shared some of her fears as well. I sure had tears welled up in my eyes. I guess those fears is what stops a lot of us from trying. I know when Liz said that she had been giving so much of herself she had nothing to give to herself! I can relate. I am at the same point. I don’t want to wait until I am 50 to resolve my weight issues but…

Where do you begin?
How do you begin?
When you begin?
How do you keep going?

How do you claim your own victory in a world that demands so much from you? How do you say to your family…it’s my time now. When everyone has to be somewhere, do something, is having a melt down, how did our world get so involved in helping everyone but ourselves? It’s mind boggling. Our health insurance will pay $20,000-$30,000 for weight loss surgery, how about places like the Biggest Loser Ranch or Fitness Resort that obviously changes lives. People lose more weight and gain so much of them selves that no surgery would ever accomplish these results! HELLO! Insurance companies get you head out of your pocket! You complain about the health care cost of those of us who are obese and there is a solution, yet you do not jump on the wagon? What wrong with this picture? I could go into politics but I won’t. That is another story and would take way too much time to type out and you all know my typing skills are not the best in this blogging world or in any world, lol.

I loved seeing Designer Whey’s 2GO signs on all the mile markers! My kids got annoyed because every time I saw the mile marker I would say ”Hey, here is comes… watch now… Yeah! There is the Designer Whey sign!”tbl2go Can’t help it, I think the 2GO packs should be at every workout place possible. I know when I go to work out I would buy a packet of 2GO for my water bottle. Most people bring their own water so I would think they would love to buy and mix their own drink. Hmmm… an idea to get it going. Have reps at gyms giving away a free packet of 2GO then have the 2GO packets available to buy at the gyms cafĂŠ or counter. Kind of like, in store sample sales people…hmmm. OK I get west Michigan! I have a box of 2GO packets in my car. You should too!

Well Friends, It’s probably the last nice day for a while in Michigan. The snow is coming…whaaaaaaaa! I want to be warm. I am going to take my dog on a nice walk before I have to pick up my kids from school.

Take care friends. Know I care about your well being. Do the right thing for your self today and do the right things for yourself tomorrow too. You are worth it. Claim your victory!

Camille

Ps…Get a box of 2GO packets in your car. You can order the 2GO packets and other great products from Designer Whey’s website.

Ps ps… Go LIZ!

Hey Friends!

I hope this finds you well. This is a long post but I just thought I’d share…

Did you watch this week, The Biggest Loser make over week? Wow, the contestants look great. I did not realize Liz was not even 50 until her make over I though like 60, now she looks younger then 50! Keep going Liz! I did feel Danny and Rudy had a too ‘boyish’ look but they still looked amazing. Rudy… grow your beard back. I bawled when Danny’s Daughter said she can’t wait to get on her journey and she says I never had a skinny dad! Our obesity has an enormous effect on our kids. When Allen cried so did I. I think I cried more then any other episode. Amanda… 9 pounds! WOW!! Geez… I wish I had their opportunity! I have a hard time when the contestants pass my weight.
danny
All my efforts have brought me no where when it comes to my weight issues. My best efforts have not been good enough. I have been seriously considering trying out for a new weight loss show. They would come to my house, not Jillian’s but another show that is now casting. I have been in contact with one of the recruiters, funny, he said I am on the thinner side, but send him my video any way. ME on the thinner side for a weight loss show… how pathetic am I? Do I really have to go that far? Are there not people out in this world willing to show compassion to help people like me with out breaking the bank? Have I sunk so low in my emotional obese self that I can not dig out of it? I really want to go to the Biggest Loser Resort to deal with my issues within myself with out distractions. I do not know how deep these pounds of pain go. I need to be removed from my environment and forced to deal with issues that I have buried so deep that I myself do not know what those issues are! But financially this is not possible right now. So…

I started writing out my application and thought I would share some of it with you.

Hi. My name is Camille Gibson. I am 41 years old,  5’9” and weigh about 275 lbs. I am married with three wonderful daughters; we reside in a suburb of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

I believe my obesity journey started as a baby to a single young mother. It was easier to shove a bottle in my mouth or set me in front of a TV with cookies then to deal being a young single mother. My mom did marry my dad and I have two sisters and a brother.

I was a fat baby, a fat child, a fat teen, I graduated fat, got married fat, had three daughters fat and am still fat. I even resorted to having my stomach stapled at the age of 20 when my highest weight of 347 became so desperate I did not want to live. As a last resort I had the surgery. I got to my lowest weight of 245 and with life and kids I have remained at the 265 to 275ish mark for over 20 years now.

Most my relatives are over weight to morbidly obese. My mother is over weight; her mother was over 400 pounds and her grandmother, I was told, was over 500 pounds. I want the obesity cycle to stop. I am about to send my almost 17 year old daughter off to college next year with my habits. She does not know to make eating healthy important or to make time for daily exercise. I have not taught her, I am her example. How do I teach her these things when I have never experienced them? I have never been thin I can not share that with my wonderful daughter who is entering young adult hood. I need help.

I am tired. All my life I gave my all to everyone who asked or seemed to need my help. I have given so much of me there is nothing left to give. I want for the first time in my life to be about me. In all that giving… I lost myself. I do not know who I am any more. I am 41 years old. It is not WHERE will I be in the next 25 years, its WILL I still be alive? I want that answer to be yes! Alive, healthy, sassy, hanging off my husband’s arm proudly; me happy and he proud to have such a beautiful wife by his side.

The application talks about how my weight affects family. My husband is 20 pounds over weight and has high cholesterol. We have a good relationship. Every year my husband’s office has a Christmas party and every year I say “Next year I will not be this fat” and every year I am this fat. My husband will not dance with me. I know it’s because I am 100 pounds more then him. I would not want to be embarrassed by me either. I want to dance with my husband. My daughter Sue almost 17 is 30 pounds over weight. Fun girl, VERY smart, I am proud of her. I don’t want to send her out in the world with my health lessons. We need help not just for me. Sarah is 10 she is my athletic girl, very smart, very out spoken, popular and a fun kid as well. I want to keep it that way. I don’t want her to lose herself in food like I did. I don’t know how to teacher her not to. Then Staci, 9, is my most compassionate girl, she is very smart and sees things that most of us would not see. She loves animals, people and the earth. She says, “Mommy you’re not fat, you’re just fluffy”. I don’t want her to lose that compassion for life. I don’t want someone to crush her by calling her fat. The only way to stop that is to keep her healthy and prevent her from becoming over weight in the first place. I do not know how to do that. I always think I do only to fail.

Seven years ago we bought our kids a trampoline. Every day the girls would beg, “come on mommy, come jump with us” they did that for about three years and the asking dwindled down to never asking. I would make all the excuses and promise all the tomorrows but the real reason was I was over the weight limit to jump on the trampoline. Now my kids have almost out grown jumping on the ‘tramp’ and I never got that opportunity to share that fun with them. When we go to amusement parks I sit and wait on the benches for my kids and husband to wait in line to ride the rides. I do not want to get up to the ride and find I do not fit in the seat. I would jump to my death if that happened so I choose not to even try.

Medically, obviously, I am over weight. I suffer from acid reflux and go through about a bottle of Tums a week. I have venous insufficiency mostly in my left leg which causes severe swelling in my legs and ankles. I need to lose weight to improve maybe even cure this condition so I do not end up in a wheel chair at the age of 50. I am not on any medication, blood pressure is ok and cholesterol is normal so basically I am fat.

OK friends, that’s what I have written so far. What do you think? Should I send it in?

I recently bought Jillian Michael’s Winning by Losing book. I think this is her best book. I will share some interesting things I have read in a future post. Maybe I will share some of my book I started a while back about looking in the mirror. It’s a pretty deep self image book but not finished because the last chapter I am saving for when I am at the weight I should be at.

Hey, I made a new drink recipe. Try it!

Raspberry Mocha Pick Me Up in the Afternoon Drink

10-12 oz cold coffee ( I use my left over hazelnut from the morning)
1 scoop raspberry biggest loser power
1/2 scoop vanilla bean biggest loser power
1/2 scoop chocolate biggest loser powder

A bunch of ice, mix well and enjoy!

Helps curb that afternoon wanna-snack-now craving!

90 cals
12 grams protein

Alright Friends, Take Care.

Camille

Hey Friends!

Hope this finds you healthier then the day before. Today is National ‘start eating healthy day’. So I ask you, what changes are you going to make to eat healthier? Me, I started eating breakfast again. I discovered I like Greek yogurt with frozen fruit and a little granola for some crunch. Greek yogurt is packed with protein! I also have 1 cup of skim milk with a scoop of my Designer Whey Protein Powders. I mix up the flavors for a variety. Some days I have chocolate, some day’s vanilla, some day’s strawberry and some days The Biggest Loser brand. I like the variety. I find that when I do this I have fewer cravings for sweets and for me that is a major plus! I have been packing my lunch and snacks. Lately I been packing whole wheat 100 calorie bagel with good turkey slices and just a smidgen of low fat mayo (I don’t like mustard) along with fruit and a string cheese for my snack. My kids love the 100 calorie bagels.  They think they are cute! Hey, if cute has them eating better… Go for it!

Did you watch the Biggest Loser this week? Wow, they were at The White House this episode.

At The White House

At The White House

All the people who came out to exercise with Bob and Jillian and the contestants were amazing! This proves Americans are not lazy we just need a plan and guidance. I am disappointed our President did not come out with his family that would have been the frosting on the cake. I felt bad for Tracey for all the havoc she took for doing what she did to remain in the game. I probably would have done the same. Did you see Tracey’s “How are they doing now” segment? Holy cow! She looks great. I cried when she re-ran that mile that the contestants ran on their first challenge. And Daniel almost at the 200 pound mark, Shay under the 400 pound mark! Wow, what opportunity! Like Bob said, this is the “Biggest Loser Movement”

I recently bought the Biggest Loser Jump Start book and Jillian Michael’s Master Your Metabolism; still have to read them. But one cool thing is you can look up the old contestants and request to be their friend on Facebook. Designer Whey has a Facebook fan page as well. You will want to add Designer Whey to your friends list because they will let you know when coupons are available or special promotions. They have recipes, encouragement and lots of great people to support you. Plus it can save you a few bucks and that is always good!

I got the Biggest Loser Wii game and so far my kids are doing the game and they love it. I need to find time for my time to play too! The other day my 9 year old sweetheart got my Jump Start Book out and my Biggest Loser music CD. She went in our living room popped in the CD and was reading how to do the exercises. Then got a towel for her mat and was doing the exercises. So I asked her what made her just start doing the exercises and she said, “well, mom first of all its fun and second I want to stay fit. Why don’t you come do some of these with me sometime”, bless her heart! Maybe it’s that easy, think exercise as being fun and wanting to be fit… hmmmm OK, Note to self… Exercise is fun and keeps you fit.” end of note.

Have a great one friends, today day a great day to drink your whey and start eating healthy.

Camille

Hey Friends,

I hope this finds you healthier then the day before. I have been extremely busy. Too busy and that stresses me out! There never seems to be peace in our house, something is always going on. I even have had to record my favorite show and watch it later. Which I don’t like because then I hurry through it and miss a lot of valuable info.

Oh, I discovered a great new mix using Designer Whey 100 Calorie Strawberry protein powder . I bought a bag of frozen fruit mix which has pineapple, strawberries and mango. It mixed up in a blender so creamy it was like ice-cream… A very good combination.

abby The last two Biggest Loser shows have been so emotional. Man, its draining. But I am happy to see the contestants break through difficult emotions that they have carried in their lives. I am blown away by Abby’s break through. She’s an amazing person to give up her spot. She said in her ‘how are they doing now spot’, ”Even in your darkest hour, there is always hope.” I love that saying. I counsel people addicted to crack cocaine and tell people who I am working with, ”No matter how low you go there is always hope and sometimes hope is all we have left” As long as we are breathing, we can change, we can make a difference, we can overcome, we can try new things. Go to new places and if we embrace each day with that attitude we can make our own break throughs.

Take Care Friends,
Camille

Hey Friends!

Hope this all finds you on your whey and doing healthy things for yourself. It’s getting cold here in Michigan the fall colors are getting close to peek already; time sure passes fast.

Well, as you all know I am a huge Biggest Loser fan. I am facebook friends with a lot of the players past and present. It’s exciting reading the contestants postings, seeing their success and challenges. Oh, this Saturday Helen Philips season 7 winner will be in my town! I am going to try and get to meet her maybe even lucky enough to get my picture with her. She lives in Michigan about 2 hours away from me.

I like to write down good things people say while watching the show and like to share with my fans. Words have powerful healing truths in them and you never know what you say may change another persons life.

Make it conscious; why you do the things you do. If you are not aware you can not fix it.

The only failure is not trying.

When losing: eat berries for your fruit, no cheese, use cauliflower for a mash potato fix, steam or roast your veggies, avoid sautĂŠed or pan fried foods

Bring your calorie counter where ever you go

When going out to eat look at the restaurants online menu and pick out your food before you go. Don’t be afraid to ask how the food is prepare and don’t be afraid to put in a special request

Control your environment

Choices have to have a purpose behind them

How about those beans, friends. Something to think about.

Oh my gosh…Biggest Loser has a resort where anyone can go! Look it up biggest loser resort. What a dream that would be to go. Unfortunately unless we win the lotto or someone pays for me it just does not seem possible at this time. If I did get the chance, I think I would have to go for 8 weeks, because I have never been thin. I do not even know what it feels like. I was a fat baby, a fat child a fat teen, a fat adult. I was fat all through my pregnancies; I got married fat and am still fat. Granted, I did lose 30 pounds this pass year using Designer Whey great protein powders. I generally stick with the weight control powders and the biggest loser powders which are all great and have really helped me. But it’s not enough for me. I have to learn how to be a thin and healthy person because I have never been there. My best efforts have not been good enough. No matter the effort I end back where I started. It’s frustrating. I am 41 and have never jumped on a trampoline with my kids…and they have asked since they were little munchkins. I have to say no…because I am over the weight limit for the trampoline. I am seriously thinking about trying out for season 10…we shall see.

One thing the trainers keep saying is to control your environment. I have never been in a “controlled” environment when it comes to health. My parents owned a restaurant, my grand parents owned a party store; I never saw my parents exercising. Food and junk were always around me and no one taught me healthy ways. Sure I can read about it, I can watch videos on it, I even can blog about it but I have never lived it. I need to live in a controlled environment to experience how to live and keep my environment “controlled”. The Biggest Loser show or resort has that controlled environment. Having a controlled environment is not easy. You can not even go to a gas station or grocery store, to the movies or restaurant and be in a controlled environment or could you… I was discussing this subject with my Chiropractor and said; about the “I can’t even go to a gas station and have a controlled environment. There is candy, chips, sodas, junk every where in a gas station”. He said…pay at the pump! HA! Something as simple as that. Now why didn’t I think of that?

Have blessed day friends! Can’t wait for next weeks show!

Camille

Hey Friends!

Biggest Loser Proteins 10oz and 2GO

This season is so full of emotion, challenges and people over coming difficult past life experiences that have contributed to their weight. For me, I have never experienced being thin. I was a fat baby, a fat child, a fat teen, a fat adult, a fat mom and am a fat wife. Biggest Losers Season 8 sure has had a ton of information. So much information that I had to watch the shows two times to get the info down. I wanted to share some of my notes.

¡        You can do it!
¡        Realize how ill we are being obese
¡        Let go of the past
¡        Say you deserve to be happy
¡        A lot of pounds are wounds that need healing
·        Must have plans… eating plan, exercise plan and recovery plan
¡        A calorie is a unit of energy
¡        Read the labels
¡        Weigh your food on a scale
·        Keep a food journal…all food and all drink
¡        Plan 3 meals and 2 snacks a day
¡        Prepare meals ahead of time for the entire week
¡        Use Ziploc bags for prepared meals and mark each meal
¡        Proportion control every meal
¡        3-4 ounces of meat
¡        Cook your food by baking, poaching, steaming, grilling on non-stick grill or broil
¡        When eating pasta eat ½ cup and fill in the rest with veggies
¡        Snacks with protein are a must
¡        No Soda
·        Weight loss foundation for any plan…calories in calories out
¡        The way we manipulate our diet will determine the most calories out before we even start to exercise
·        To accelerate calories out…exercise
¡        Circuit training for a variety
¡        Protein refuels muscles, gives fullness feeling, and maintains blood sugar
¡        After you workout you must get protein in to keep the body burning calories. Bob suggests 2 scoops of the Designer Whey Biggest Loser Protein Powder with 16 ounces of water
¡        The contestants are just like you. They are doing it and you can do it too!

Well, friends keep watching… keep drinking (your designer whey that is)

I am on my Whey!
