Hey Friends,

Back from vacation and back to reality. We had a great time. It was cold in Florida; we wore our winter coats to the beach! We took a boat out to watch for dolphins. We were able to spot few dolphins and it was one of the warmest days we had. Kids swam with the dolphins on another adventure but it was only 58 degrees so they were just a bit little cold. My older two kids did indoor sky diving, lots of fun! One thing I noticed on vacation is I do not over eat; nor am I stressed. I feel like having my kids live out of a suit case and only a few toys. I don’t know why but my kids do not trash grandma’s trailer. My conclusion is a few things and that is at home they do not respect our home; they have too many clothes and way too many toys, too much TV and not enough fun. Now to bring the vacation behavior back in our home!

I finally got to watch the Biggest Loser show. I missed the first one because we were in Florida and did not have access to TV. But I did get to watch the 2nd show and am very excited for the new contestants. Their success is my hope. The difference between the contestants and me is they have a support system, they have the education, they have the equipment and the trainers. So I have to figure out how to have such a system.

I did join our local Fitness 19 and I can tell, physically, I am improving every time I go. It feels good to accomplish exercising. Sometimes I wish my family would step aside and make sure I get the time to go more often. It would be even better if I could have a treadmill at home but at this point we can’t afford it so at the gym it has to be. Fitness 19 is only $12.00 a month per person so it’s affordable. I am proud to say I was able to walk on the treadmill for 5 miles at an incline 4.0-4.5 and the rate of 3.0-3.5 and I burned over 1000 calories!

Today, Fox Reality had a Biggest Loser Marathon from Season 4 when Bill Germanakos won. I wonder what ever happened to Kim the trainer.

Some cool tips I wrote down…

If it had a mother it is protein.
All meals and snacks should have a combination of Carbs, Protein and Fat.
If your body is burning sugar it is not burning fat.
Anything is possible if you put in the work.

Remember to eat, move, then rest. I used to move, eat, then rest. I had it wrong. It’s all about moving forward and working toward our mark. For years I ate next to nothing and now have learned that is not the right way. You have to eat!

Oh! oh! oH! OH! I figured out a cookie recipe using Designer Whey Vanilla Protein Powder.

Designer Whey Chocolate Chip Cookies
Kid tested!
Makes about 3 dozen

½ cup butter (room temperature)
½ cup Sun Crystals (new stevia/cane mix) or splenda
2 tablespoon regular brown sugar or 1 tablespoon brown sugar splenda
2 large egg whites
1 teaspoon real vanilla extract
1 ½ cups of Designer Whey Vanilla Protein Powder
½ teaspoon baking soda (you can add an extra ¼ teaspoon if you like puffy cookies)
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon milk (2 tablespoons if you like thinner cookies)
½ cup semi-sweet chocolate mini-chips

Preheat oven to 375. In a medium mixing bowl, beat butter and sun crystals or slenda until well blended. Add the egg whites and vanilla; beat well. In a separate bowl mix the Designer Whey Powder, baking soda, salt, slowly add to the butter mix along with the milk until well blended. Stir in the mini chocolate chips. Drop by using a teaspoon onto an ungreased non-stick cookie sheet. Bake 7-8 minutes. Remove from pan right away onto a cooling rack, Cool completely. Enjoy!

Peanut Butter Version

Add ½ cup peanut butter
Increase baking soda by ÂĽ teaspoon
Increase milk to 2 tablespoons
Omit the chocolate chips if you want
Smash down with a fork making criss-cross design

When you first take the cookies out of oven they have the consistency similar to cake but let sit over night out and they will be crispy. It is true you can replace flour with Designer Whey Vanilla Protein Powder in baking! Yey Whey!

Have a great week friends. Watch Biggest Loser Tuesdays!

Ali Vincent talks about the benefits of The Biggest Loser Protein featuring Bob and Amanda!

Hey Friends!

Two more weeks until school starts! YIPPY, doin’ the happy dance. I feel like that commercial with the dad going school shopping, he’s happy and kids pouting. Wait a minute… I just thought about that commercial, since when do dads take the kids school shopping? Lol. It is stressful getting everything ready to start the school season. I have all girls and the tears and the ‘I got to haves’ and ‘nothing fits’ or is cute, not to mention the change of minds with every outfit… geez, sounds like me going clothes shopping. Maybe it has nothing to do with size… maybe its just a girl thing… ya think? I will be glad when school starts so I can find much needed time for me.

Designer Whey Protein

I do best with my weight loss plans when I take care of myself. Hard to do when you have a family. I hardly believe I have been blogging over a year now on Designer Whey’s  website. I have lost 30 pounds which is better then nothing. I still have 70 pounds to go so I am not giving up. The quest continues. I know how to lose weight. I have lost hundreds of pounds. My problem is keeping it off. I am not sure how to accomplish the keeping off part as I have never done it for very long. What will it take? Why do I struggle with keeping the weight off? I have a million excuses and reason to justify why I am still too fat. I do enjoy sweets; I have never been able to not have my sweets so I am very grateful for Designer Whey’s amazing powders. You can use the powders so many different ways in a variety of concoctions to please any craving you may have. There is a bunch of free recipes that people have shared in the forum or make your own hearts desire. You just have to take the time to mix what you are craving and enjoy it! Carry your 2GO packs with you.

I found a great cooking tool they are steam bags for the microwave, they will make you glad you have them. You can steam excellent corn on the cob, green beans and more cooked perfectly! I love the fall season mostly because I love fall harvests, especially peaches and apples, very yummy. I am probably weird; I lose more weight in the fall then any season. I think because summer has too many parties, too much ice cream outings, I take the kids to the beach and sit and watch them. The fear of them getting hurt keeps me watching instead of doing, lots of sport events, again, watching. Plus, I am not a hot weather type of person so I stay in the air conditioning, therefore not as active as I know I can and should be. Oh…oh…ooo I saw The Biggest Loser  new season starts September 15th! I can’t wait for the inspiration. I hope you watch too. I might join this gym real close by and it’s only $12.00 a month! No contract either. They have the basics, treadmill, weights, nothing fancy. No hot tubs or pool but it’s a place to go and it’s affordable. Something to think about for yourself as well, maybe you live in Michigan and have one of these no contract places near you.

My kids go back to school September 8th so that is my new “start date” to working on the next 30 pounds… Go Camille!…Go Camille! …drink Designer Whey!

Take Care Friends, I hope this finds you well and healthier then the day before. Designer Whey’s new website look is amazing! Great job team! I love the energy that comes from the site. I can tell you all put a lot of thought and time into the new look.

Biggest Loser whey protein Ali Vincent

New to the growing Biggest Loser empire is the addition of whey protein powders from Designer Whey.

The 10-ounce cans are adorned with season 5 winner Ali Vincent’s fit image and come in four flavors: chocolate, vanilla, blueberry and raspberry. You also can get the fruit flavors in single-serve packets to bring with you to the gym or keep in a desk drawer.

Designer Whey has long been known for its high-quality whey protein supplements, and these are just as tasty as their other varieties. A big difference with the Biggest Loser line is that not only are they low in calories (40-50 calories a scoop) but they’re also high in protein (6 grams per scoop) and low in sugars (1 gram). If you’re lactose intolerant and shy away from dairy products, you don’t have to worry about whey protein, since the lactose has been removed. (Take it from one who knows.)

The chocolate and vanilla flavors are sweetened with stevia and don’t have any artificial ingredients. The blueberry and raspberry flavors are sweetened with a sucralose-acesulfame-K blend as well as FruitWellfruit concentrate, which adds antioxidants. I can do without the artificial colors but that’s what gives them their berry colors.

I tried the chocolate flavor in a smoothie and found that a couple scoops are needed for flavor and body. Still, two scoops are only 100 calories — the scoops are small. The sweetness isn’t as pronounced as a lot of protein powders but then again, it’s only sweetened with stevia compared to the buckets of sugar other protein powders have.

I tried the blueberry simply mixed with a cup of cold water. I didn’t use any blender or smoothie maker and found that the powder dissolved really well in a water bottle with no residue. And I was surprised at how good it was. I’ve tried other “protein waters” and they’ve been pretty disappointing. The protein-water blend is a great post-workout recovery drink and also makes a great 40-calorie appetite killer between meals.

The line is available at most grocery, drug and supplement stores. You also can click HERE to find a store near you.

Hey Friends,

I am so sorry to have disappeared on you all. I know I had some of you wondering. All is well, Friends. I have had the busiest 3 weeks ever! I could not even find the time and energy to blog and that is NOT like me. It has been one thing after another. End of the year school things, party after party it seems, death in the family bomb…bomb…but things are looking better and I am finally feeling less stressed. I thought I would gain everything back! But I am glad to say under all the pressure and stress I stayed the same weight since I last posted. The good thing is my biggest size pant (28 Plus Size) now can be slip off with out being unbuttoned. YAY!

I could have not made it with my weight control powders.  I start every day with a glass of milk, 1 scoop of vanilla flavored weight control and 1 scoop of chocolate flavored weight control powder. Grab some fruit and coffee and I am good to go for the morning. I still carry in my car the 2GO packets. Every where I go the 2GOs go too!

I have to admit it has been hard. I am working by cleaning houses, kids school events, even selling some stuff on the worlds largest E auction site, trying to keep it all together and organized has put a lot of stress on my plate. I have to get back to my free diet plan exactly like I had it the first time I lost 8 pounds. I tweaked it too much! I was trying to be perfect and am finding I just need to stick to the plan that was working and not try to have everything perfect.

Oh geez, today I mixed up my morning breakfast and forgot it on the counter so I stopped at a gas station and they had those be slim so fast drinks…I used to love those OMG YUCK! It coated my tongue, extremely sweet, slimy in my throat and I felt sick after drinking it. I used to buy the ready made cans by the case…no wonder they never helped me.

Designer Whey Powders are pure tasting, they never leave a film on your tongue and all the powders are great tasting as well. I will never go back to anything else. I would be better off skipping the meal then drinking those awful ready made in the can get you slim very fast garbage!

Cool thing, my husband said I am looking good! I am like, huh?, I was not good looking before?? You know us girls can be touchy about that stuff! But it felt good that he commented.

I am not even sure if I posted a comment about the “Biggest Loser” Finale. I thought for sure Mike was going to win but Helen, the little turkey, pulled it off! Good for her, my fellow Michigander! I saw Helen and Tara on the cover of a magazine showing off! I would too. Oh, did you know that Jillian the trainer was ‘The Fat Kid’ in school? My daughter is reading one of her new books about hormones and metabolism. I would have never known that.

Well friends I will try not to be so few and far in-between posting! It’s not fair to you and it’s not good for me. I need my friends cheering me on.

Drink your whey it’s the only way!

Blessings to you,

Camille

Hey Friends!

I hope this finds you well.

One more pound off. I was trying to figure out why my weight loss slowed whey down. The only thing I can think of was I was trying to get my protein in by adding more powders and that added more calories. I have to make adjustments to get enough protein but not the extra calories. I will cut out the cheese for snack. 2 pounds to my below 270 mark… I can do it!

Got to watch the live finally tomorrow on the Biggest Loser! I will write more after the show.

I’ll talk again soon.

Ali Vincent was a big hit during her visit to DESIGNER WHEY headquarters. She took the time to meet with everyone from the company and even took pictures. Thanks Ali!

Well, one more show after this! The final four (Helen, Tara, Mike and Ron) each came home to very big celebrations. The next morning, the players were all shocked to see boxes marked “The Biggest Loser” waiting for them on their doorsteps. They knew that inside that box contained a challenge. Inside the box was a DVD announcing their challenge and on their television screen was Ali announcing that the final players had 26 days to train, because they would participating in a full 26.2 mile marathon. Yikes! The really exciting apart before they started the marathon was Designer Whey would donate $10,000 to each person if they finished the race to the charity of their choice!

At mile five, Ron had to stop running to get his knee checked out. Meanwhile, mid-way through Tara’s marathon, season five winner Ali Vincent joined her on the run while Helen was joined by last season’s winner, Michelle.

Tara only had one more mile to go and she was joined by Jillian. She warned Jillian that she better keep up because nobody was going to stop her. Tara was the first one to cross the finish line. Again, she wins another challenge!!! Helen was the second to cross the finish line and couldn’t believe she actually did it. Ron’s knee was really giving him problems, but that didn’t stop his determination in wanting to finish the marathon and he finished. YEAH. And at the end of the marathon, they were each handed an oversize check from Designer Whey to their charity of choice.

Now for the weigh in…Stress is happening with all 4 players.  Ali told everyone that the two players who fell below the yellow line could be eliminated. The player with the highest percentage of weight loss would be guaranteed a spot in the finals, and the two remaining players would find out their fate at the hands of America, who would be voting from home. Oh, the pressure.

The players all lost weight while they were home for the 26 days. But, it was Tara who had lost enough weight to guarantee herself a spot in the finals. Are we surprised? Tara was going to be joined by Helen at the finals. Now, what will America do with Ron and Mike? America will vote one of them in next week. Remember Ron has always wanted his son Mike to be in the finals and pleaded his case to the voting public. Will America agree? We will find out next week!
