Excitement is mounting as The Biggest Loser, Season 9 is getting down to the wire. Don’t miss the big finale on May 25!

Casting for Season 10 is in full swing. Recently, we were lucky enough to attend casting calls in Phoenix and Los Angeles where Ali Vincent greeted hopefuls and handed out sample packs of TBL Red Raspberry and Blue Blueberry Protein•2Go.

Both casting calls drew a record number of people who are eager to join the Season 10 cast of The Biggest Loser. Only 350-500 hopeful contestants were expected in Phoenix but over 700 came out. Los Angeles also drew a big crowd with more than 1,100 hopefuls!  At both casting calls, Designer Whey greeted future contestants and fans, sharing information on the importance of protein in everyday diet.  The Biggest Loser protein is an integral part of daily nutrition on the Biggest Loser Ranch. As the show’s contestants are eliminated weekly, Designer Whey provides each contestant with protein powder to help them achieve their weight loss and fitness goals.  Designer Whey is excited to be part of the life changing journey for many Biggest Loser contestants and hopefuls.

Our own Camille Gibson, a contributing blogger for… Designer Whey, recently braved a cold and rainy Detroit day for her chance to get on the Biggest Loser, Season 10. A big fan of the show, Camille’s got what it takes to not only be a star contestant, but she has the will and determination to go all the way! Good Luck Camille! Wish Camille Good luck on her Designer Whey blog page HERE >

Hey Friends!

Hope this all finds you on your whey and doing healthy things for yourself. It’s getting cold here in Michigan the fall colors are getting close to peek already; time sure passes fast.

Well, as you all know I am a huge Biggest Loser fan. I am facebook friends with a lot of the players past and present. It’s exciting reading the contestants postings, seeing their success and challenges. Oh, this Saturday Helen Philips season 7 winner will be in my town! I am going to try and get to meet her maybe even lucky enough to get my picture with her. She lives in Michigan about 2 hours away from me.

I like to write down good things people say while watching the show and like to share with my fans. Words have powerful healing truths in them and you never know what you say may change another persons life.

Make it conscious; why you do the things you do. If you are not aware you can not fix it.

The only failure is not trying.

When losing: eat berries for your fruit, no cheese, use cauliflower for a mash potato fix, steam or roast your veggies, avoid sautéed or pan fried foods

Bring your calorie counter where ever you go

When going out to eat look at the restaurants online menu and pick out your food before you go. Don’t be afraid to ask how the food is prepare and don’t be afraid to put in a special request

Control your environment

Choices have to have a purpose behind them

How about those beans, friends. Something to think about.

Oh my gosh…Biggest Loser has a resort where anyone can go! Look it up biggest loser resort. What a dream that would be to go. Unfortunately unless we win the lotto or someone pays for me it just does not seem possible at this time. If I did get the chance, I think I would have to go for 8 weeks, because I have never been thin. I do not even know what it feels like. I was a fat baby, a fat child a fat teen, a fat adult. I was fat all through my pregnancies; I got married fat and am still fat. Granted, I did lose 30 pounds this pass year using Designer Whey great protein powders. I generally stick with the weight control powders and the biggest loser powders which are all great and have really helped me. But it’s not enough for me. I have to learn how to be a thin and healthy person because I have never been there. My best efforts have not been good enough. No matter the effort I end back where I started. It’s frustrating. I am 41 and have never jumped on a trampoline with my kids…and they have asked since they were little munchkins. I have to say no…because I am over the weight limit for the trampoline. I am seriously thinking about trying out for season 10…we shall see.

One thing the trainers keep saying is to control your environment. I have never been in a “controlled” environment when it comes to health. My parents owned a restaurant, my grand parents owned a party store; I never saw my parents exercising. Food and junk were always around me and no one taught me healthy ways. Sure I can read about it, I can watch videos on it, I even can blog about it but I have never lived it. I need to live in a controlled environment to experience how to live and keep my environment “controlled”. The Biggest Loser show or resort has that controlled environment. Having a controlled environment is not easy. You can not even go to a gas station or grocery store, to the movies or restaurant and be in a controlled environment or could you… I was discussing this subject with my Chiropractor and said; about the “I can’t even go to a gas station and have a controlled environment. There is candy, chips, sodas, junk every where in a gas station”. He said…pay at the pump! HA! Something as simple as that. Now why didn’t I think of that?

Have blessed day friends! Can’t wait for next weeks show!

Hey Friends!

I hope this finds you well.

One more pound off. I was trying to figure out why my weight loss slowed whey down. The only thing I can think of was I was trying to get my protein in by adding more powders and that added more calories. I have to make adjustments to get enough protein but not the extra calories. I will cut out the cheese for snack. 2 pounds to my below 270 mark… I can do it!

Got to watch the live finally tomorrow on the Biggest Loser! I will write more after the show.

I’ll talk again soon.

OMG Designer Whey you donated 40,000 to the Biggest Losers favorite charity! Whey to go! I was so surprised at all the exposure for Designer Whey. I am so proud to be here and witnessing such success! You have a great product and it’s a pleasure to tell about it. Words can not express how excited I was watching the Biggest Loser tonight…I watched it 2 times in a row because I did not want to miss anything. I think I will watch again tomorrow as well.

Well Friends, I was glad to see normalcy on tonight’s show. The contestants lost 7-10 pounds in 30 days and I am glad I watched. I was a bit discouraged because I only lost ½ pound this week, the scale read 271.5. I am glad for any loss for I was under a lot of stress and emotions running high. Probably a womanly thing…lol. It was exciting to hear that Ron, Mike and Helen live in Michigan! Oh, a dream to meet them and tell them how much they effect me and my journey to losing it big.

I am not sure if I told you all this before but I have a great sister, her name is Ann. She is a Captain in the US Air Force and is serving in Iraq for her second tour. What a strong woman to be able to fight for me and our country. She has great kids and its amazing her dedication to have balance between her family and our country. I know I could not do the things she has done. I envy her life experiences that she has been able to do as a soldier, the places she has been too over the last 20 years and her ability to stay fit. A lot of “older” officers  have let themselves go a bit but not my sister (she is only 29)  she runs, lifts weights and trains…who knows maybe one day I will go running with her or at least a walker race down the hall in some nursing home when we are old…LOL. Keep safe sista! Love you.
Ok Friends, it is whey past my bed time but I had to share how excited I am for Designer Whey and the Biggest Loser contestants. Can you believe it they all completed a marathon! WOW what a dream. Ron is now only 7.5 pound heavier then me… Whey 2GO Ron!
So I am still on my goal from last week to be under 270. I am doing much better this week and will make it.

Take care friends, night.

Hello Friends,

Biggest Loser Protein Blue Blueberry Protein2Go

Biggest Loser Protein Blue Blueberry Protein2Go

Hope this finds you well.
Did you watch the Biggest Loser last night? I did. Some things just blow my mind away…a concept that I and many others have yet to reverse in our minds…we have to eat to lose weight! I am talking about the segment where Bob watches a food video diary that the contestants did. Bob was upset at their food choices because the contestants were trying to make their favorite foods but at the lowest calories and Bob was like no no no…yes LOWER calories but MORE quality calories especially protein and carbohydrates at every meal. Then Bob brought out my favorite protein…Our Designer Whey Powder…he had the contestant add a scoop to his water…very cool to see. I love blogging on Designer Whey’s site, I believe in sharing my thoughts on the best product out there.

I was looking at the graphs on my FREE diet plan from Designer Whey and I can see my protein level was only at 88%. I still am not getting enough protein.  Today I decided to carry my Lite and Lean 2GO Packets with me and when ever I drink a bottle of water I am going to add a pack. Yesterday and the day before I was just so pooped out. See, I clean houses for my exercise sometimes 6 hours a day of vigorously cleaning and I get paid too! When I checked my diet plan graphs and did not think about it until Bob said…”you have to have good quality protein to have the energy to burn fat and lose weight”. Then a light went on, maybe that is why I am so tired! Add a pack of lite and lean to your water bottle, its only 30 calories, taste great and gives you the energy to burn fat! Plus an added bonus the 2GO Lite and Lean contains 5g of fiber. SO you can take your 2GO with you and it will also help you to go! lol

Beautiful day here in Michigan. Have a good one.

Hey Friends!

Well it’s Monday and weight in day. Can you guess the number of pounds I lost??? If you guessed 2… nope, higher. If you guessed 4… nope, higher. If you guessed 6… nope, higher. Ok I can’t stand it. You’re taking tooooo long guessing. Drum roll please… da..da..ta..da I lost 8.5 pounds this week!

Ok I will tell you my start weight, which I hate to blog because I am embarrassed. On 4-13-09 AM I weighed 284…YIKES 12 pounds more then when I weighed before Christmas. 2 pounds off, 4 pounds on, has been a pattern of mine for a long time. When I got on my scale this morning I was doing the happy fat loss dance it read 275.5!

I contribute the weight loss to Designer Whey’s great free diet plan. It was so easy to follow because I created it for me; my schedule and my life! The plan can only fail if I let it. I was not hungry; I had good energy and was able to stick to it. In my plan I use the weight control powders and the lite and lean powders. All the flavors are great!

Remember this regime. Fuel, Move, Rest. The fuel part is the eating plan that you create, get moving simply means get your heart rate up higher then your sitting rate, rest…put your feet up for 10-15 min, go to bed at a reasonable time, get 8 hours of sleep each night. It worked friends and if it works for me it can work for you!

Take care, friends. Hope to see less of you soon. Don’t forget to watch “The Biggest Loser” this week. Let’s see who can be the biggest loser among those reading this. Post your results in the forum or comment here! Share each others success!

Hello Friends,

I hope this finds you well. I am on day five on my detox diet. I am doing pretty good, had food today! Beef and tomatoes. I like tomatoes in salad just not by themselves so I opt for 100% tomato juice.  ½ cup is about the same as a whole tomato. I did cheat a little and had a very small no-bake cookie (size of a half dollar) from a batch I made for a neighbor whose husband died. I made spaghetti and no bake cookies for her family and let me tell you, those no bakes were talking to me. I caved a little to stop the annoying “eat me…eat me, eat just one…one won’t hurt. No one will know…” nagging.  Did I fail? Maybe. But normally I would have eaten 5 by then. So in my eyes I did well to limit the amount and size.

One thing I am learning with the plan is that I can be in control. And that my friends, is priceless. Today my kids had an ice cream social and I can proudly say that I did not have any ice cream. Instead, I had flavored coffee with a dash of cream, no sugar!

Did you watch “The Biggest Loser” show this week? We did not see the first half because of the Presidential speech. Part of me had a hard time watching because most of the contestants weigh less than me after starting out much heavier than me. The other part says they worked for it and deserve the loss. Several contests are at 100+ pounds loss in 12 weeks! I know its not my reality but it CAN happen if I want it bad enough. I sure wish I had the same opportunities as the contestants do. I’ve got to hand it to Tara. She pulled through a difficult time wanting to give up and in the end she soared. I wonder why the contestants kept their shirts on this week. All other times the men took their shirts off and women wore the sports bras.

I hope your week is going well and remember Designer Whey Products are swell…lol!

Take Care,

Camille

Well Friends,

I am on day 3 of my detox regimen. Its going pretty good. Day one I ate only fruits, not so bad, I like a variety of fruits. Day two I ate only vegetables. That was a little harder, I don’t like as many veggies. Plus, in the detox regimen you can make French onion soup (no bread or cheese of course) loaded with any veggies your heart desires, except potatoes. You can eat the soup at anytime with the days food plan. Today was mixed vegetables and fruits. The only side effect of eating French onion soup every day, several times a day is… well… when you pass gas it smells like onion soup! LOL. I keep waiting for this huge movement but it has not happened yet. I hope it will be one of those ‘ah ha’ moments, lol.

What’s interesting is I am not craving sugar at all! So that tells me I definitely need more fruit in my diet. I think I consumed so much fruit (which we know is nature’s sugar) that I did not need to crave the candy. Maybe when you crave sugar you simply need to add more fruit to your diet.

I did have a glass of my Lite and Lean powder before I cleaned house. I felt I needed it to make it through four hours of cleaning. Good thing its only 30 calories. My daughter is a trooper; she is following it to the tee. Except she keeps saying she can’t wait until Saturday to eat the donut she put in the freezer from a school party. I do have to hand it to her for not eating the donut, she stuck to her plan. I think I will encourage her to cut in thirds and eat only 1/3. I guess… don’t know. What do you say to not offend you teen daughter??? I did tell her to eat a protein bar before track practice. Maybe that is why she is not having hunger pangs.

Today I cleaned house for four hours straight, walked the dogs then went swimming. I swam 10 laps, back stoke taking a breather between laps, just for a minute.  I take my kids with me to the pool. They are always trying to beat me. They get close, but this big ol’ mama still can out swim them. Well, for one lap anyway. I am sure I could not beat them 2 laps in a row but we will keep that secret to us right…friends????

I hope this finds you healthier then yesterday. Don’t forget to drink your whey every day!

Camille

Hello Friends,

I just got back from a 14 mile bike ride. Yepper, I rode 14 miles! I rode to the place where I walk the dogs, took them out for their potty break. Rode up to Speedway and got my hubby some lunch. Rode to his work which is out by the airport in GR, had lunch with hubby and rode home. I did not have any houses lined up to clean today so I took advantage of this nice weather we are having here in Michigan.

When I got back from my ride I filled up my 24 oz cup with water and Lite and Lean Powder to help me recover from the ride and get some more energy to finish the second half of my day.

Lite & Lean

Dummy me, ate some chips when I got home…ugh! Why did I do that? I mindlessly ate them. I have to figure how not to eat mindlessly! There is a chapter in the book I am reading On Target Nutrition that I talked about in another post so I am looking forward to learning how to stop, ‘the eating and its gone before I know it’, pattern.

Boy, I can tell my legs will be sore from all that riding! My knees are screaming…NO MORE! Lol… but I will be fine. I wanted to ride the 14 miles because the contestants on The Biggest Loser walk that far. Time does not allow me to walk that far. I think the amount of time would drive me nuts… too much time to think…

Its supposed to be nice this week and our yard sure needs some clean up. Dog poop, kid toys, branches, trash that blew in our yard over the winter, all need picked up. Some raking to do, so I am going to get outside and work a little on my yard this week. What are you planning to do to get your body moving this week?

Hope this finds you well. I just realized its St. Patrick’s Day tomorrow. Happy St. Patty’s Day Friends! four-leaf-clover1

Take Care,

Camille

Hello Friends,

I hope you had a great week. I am kind of bummed. I weighed in and haven’t lost one stinkin’ pound in a month! I have been cleaning houses on the side to help make ends meet. I have been cleaning 3-6 hours a day! My weight did not budge. I feel I let my friends, Designer Whey, and myself down. I know it has to be because my eating plan gets all messed up. I can’t seem to get on track or stick to my schedule when I am working. In between houses I have been eating a handful of nuts and that may contribute to not losing weight…too many nuts! I need to pre mix my Designer Whey powders and carry a cooler with some fruit, maybe a sandwich and eat that instead of a handful of nuts all day long.

I am reading a book called ‘Chris Johnson’s On Target Living Nutrition: The Power of Feeling Your Best’. It puts nutrition in very simple terms. Chris Johnson is a Michigan native and lives in the Lansing area. I just started reading. And as I do, I will share with my friends what I learn. One thing I get from flipping through the book is we don’t have to be perfect. To live an 80/20 mix of our healthy plan; that means 80% of the time stay on target the other 20% give our self some slack. I have never seen a book so simple. It lays it all out for you. They give you a list of “target foods” which consist of a variety of proteins, carbs and healthy fats. The list is starts out as the best foods, better foods, good foods, fair foods, and poor food choices;  basically take small steps to changing your health. The book suggests if you are starting a ground zero to do these 3 simple things. Drink 2-3 bottles of water a day, best if its spring water or mineral water (you can refill), walk for 10 minutes a day and to eat 1-2 proteins, 1-2 carbs and 1-2 healthy fats from the ‘best list’ from the list they give you in the book. Slow and steady wins the race! For me, simple is good. This book has me excited and recharged again.

Did you watch the Biggest Loser this pass week? Were you shocked at the end result? I thought the black team would for sure lose with their binge episode. Jillian was right…they still do not get it…I don’t either. I have to admit I would have done the same thing if I was let loose on 24 hours of pampering. I know I would have because I’ve been to a buffet with my daughter on a field trip. I did well but the dessert table called me. I really had to restrain myself to one dessert and thankfully I was able; because if it had not been time to get back on the bus I would have had more helpings. I wish I had a mindful spirit to resist eating too much but I struggle and have to “talk” to myself and hold my self back. I do not have a natural desire to just say no.

I will write again soon. Take care , Friends.
