Hey Friends,

I know you are as happy as I am that the kiddies are back in school! Oh the last few weeks I was ready for them to go back to school. The kids were sick of each other and I was on my last nerve. I love my kids with my whole heart but sometimes us moms just need a break.

Hey, next week is all of our favorite inspirational show! Yep, that is right September 15th is coming up soon. I am excited to watch and see my favorite Designer Whey drinks help people just like me, people who could afford to lose a few or 2 or 3 pounds…lol. Hope you watch The Biggest Loser along with me!

Guess what the weight loss fairy delivered to my house??? My protein water! I will rate according to my tastes. In 4th place is the Orange Mango… I thought too intense orange taste. Maybe like the taste of baby aspirin or very strong tang. Which I am not so fond of. But for you, you may love it. Probably those of us over 40 can not handle such intense flavor. To me, it was OK but not my favorite flavor of the protein water. In 3rd place is the Cranapple…the only reason it’s not my favorite is I am not an apple juice person. I do enjoy cranberry so for me it was tolerable. In 2nd place is the Pomegranate flavored Protein Water…I very much enjoyed the light fruitful flavor. Camille’s #1 pick is the Blue Raspberry… to me it is perfect! Light, yet flavorful, not too sweet and is very refreshing. My only problem is my 16 year old daughter DRANK all of my Blue Raspberry and Pomegranate Protein Water! UGH! I went to take a bottle with me to work and ALL GONE! Luckily, I found some at our local grocery store.

I have to apologize to all my friends reading this blog. Anyone who reads this blog is my friend! I promise to blog more often, summer is hectic with kids home and watching my friends’ children as well, plus my cleaning jobs. By the time I sat down I was spent. But now that school is back in session and The Biggest Loser Show will be on, I can get back into routine. When you are trying to lose weight routine is essential. I share that with you so I can share things I am doing to get back in the flow of losing weight.

One thing I do now is to always keep a 2-quart pitcher filled with my favorite Biggest Loser Protein Powder both the Red Raspberry and the Blue Blueberry. They only have 40 calories, great flavor and fiber to take the edge off when you are looking for something sweet to have. I put 6 scoops in a 2-quart pitcher and keep in the fridge, ready when I need it. Sometimes, I mix the two flavors for a different twist. Enjoy a cup before dinner and you will eat less, try it! I also

The Biggest Loser Protein Powder Vanilla Bean

LOVE the Biggest Loser Vanilla Bean Flavored Powder. I like to make a creamy shake when the ice cream man is trying to stop by! The chocolate is a great treat, as well, and makes a great meal supplement. I enjoy adding the vanilla bean to cold coffee; add ice and you have a great low calorie, delicious, ice coffee! Some of those ice coffees can have 400 calories or more! Compared to 50 calories with the Biggest Loser Powders there is no comparison and they are YUMMY! Don’t forget to put a case of bottled water in your car (please recycle or refill) along with a bunch of 2GO packets, they really take the edge off when you are temped to stop by a drive thru, when you know you should not eat fast food.

You can enjoy any of Designer Whey’s Protein Powders. Whether you are trying to lose weight, maintain a healthy weight or building muscle, it’s all good! It works too! I lost 30 pounds in a year. Not a huge change like the Biggest Loser Show but progress; and we need to accept any progress as good! Make your kids a healthy shake after school instead of cookies and milk! I know my kids act a lot better after a Designer Whey Protein shake instead of climbing the walls after cookies. Calmer kids equal calmer parents; and that my friend is a happier home. How about starting their day with a shake at breakfast! They will think you flipped making them a shake for breakfast! But studies show good protein in the morning gets their brain ready for thinking. Kids who have a good breakfast do better in school!

Alright Friends,

I think about you and hope you are healthier today then you were the day before. Drink you whey every day!

Your friend,

Camille

The Ultimate Protein Shake

Ok if anyone does follow actually follow my blog on a weekly, my apologies for breaking up the gym etiquette segment, but I feel like I need to share a few new things that I have discovered coming from none other than our favorite protein company Designer Whey and a couple of creative minds. The gym etiquette segment is not finished, believe me there are plethora of things left to gawk about. But I figured I would throw a few positive things in the mix so that I don’t seem like such an elitist negative Nancy. I wanted to share with all of you this week, the ultimate health protein shake that will kill that hunger craving and will help build muscle through quicker recovery.

To start you are going to need a blender – yes this is going to take a little more effort than just a spoon and a cup. Once you find the blender make sure you wash out all of the margarita residue from last weekend: the point of this shake is the amazing taste. Grab a cup of Ice to start and dump it in the blender. Then pour in about ¾ of a cup of water (you can use Milk but it just fills you up that much more) on to the ice. Now for the next part go out and get yourself Designer Whey’s chocolate and chocolate caramel protein powders . When adding the protein powder, add to your liking. Meaning, if you are using protein shakes as a form of dieting or to speed up your metabolism only use about 1 to 2 scoops but if you are trying to gain mass and build muscle use 3 to 5 scoops. What I do is I take two scoops of the chocolate powder and two scoops of the chocolate caramel powder (or if I feel like mixing it up two scoops of chocolate and two scoops of vanilla) and put it on top of the ice and water mixture. Then I take a scoop of cookies and cream light frozen yogurt and drop it in there with a spoon full of peanut butter.

Now I am going to throw in a warning here about the peanut butter. I love crunchy chunky peanut butter way more than creamy but it does not work so well in this shake. I say this because even with a high grade blender you will still get those little chunks of peanuts floating around and although they are delicious they make you choke and who really wants that. So my suggestion is suck it up and get creamy peanut butter, it gives you the same great flavor. I also say spend the extra dollar and fifty cents and get the lower fat peanut butter.

Once you have the ice cream and peanut butter in the mix with the protein and ice water, you add what I like to call the non-topping toppings in. The first of these two is the banana. Cut the banana in half, peel it and then cut one of the halves into sevenths and them drop into the blender. Next throw in a couple of squirts of Hershey’s light chocolate syrup. If I could guess right now you are probably thinking to yourself, how is this shake healthy and the answer is simple. Almost all of the caloric content of this drink (with the exception of the light chocolate syrup) are “good for you” calories, meaning that they are easily burnt off and highly utilized within the body. Not to mention that 95% of the ingredients in the shake help speed up the muscle recovery – which is why it is the perfect drink for after the gym. And on top of everything sprinkle in three to four dashes of cinnamon. Cinnamon has also been proven to help speed up and better glucose metabolism which gives it a lot of value in this shake and makes it a little healthier for you. The only two things missing from this shake to make it the ultimate protein fix is a spoon full of tuna and an egg. But we won’t put those in because the idea of this shake is to gain nutrients not to expel the nutrients that you have acquired during the day, with a horrifically induced vomiting session from the taste of this thing.

Now that everything is in there go ahead and blend to your liking. I like to get it to the consistency of a restaurant style milkshake. This shake is ideal for taking within 30 minutes of any muscle workout longer than 30 minutes in length. If you are trying to build muscle or gain mass this shake has got everything that could want. Give it a try: it’s delicious.

Hello Friends,
I hope this finds you well and happy. It’s a great day just because it is. I try to have a positive out look every day.

Lots going on; school shopping, summer activities, my oldest is a very smart chick and is doing dual enrollment. Dual enrollment is where seniors in high school can enroll in college and have it be credit towards their high school diploma and earn college credit as well. Best of all the college credits are paid by the high school. Free college credits…yeah baby!

One of my difficulties is being able to stay in routine with my diet. I get enough movement but my weight does not budge. I know it’s my eating. I do well when I use my free diet plan from Designer Whey but I am also a rebel not submitting to what works. That part of me is difficult for me to understand. I try to analyze myself to figure it out. Someone said I just don’t value myself enough to be the best I can to myself. I am the best I can be to everyone around me. My family has no idea how well I take care of them because they have never been with out my care.

I saw an ad the ‘The Biggest Loser’ is casting again. What a dream, though they are looking for couples at the moment and I really don’t know anyone close that is as big as me or bigger to see if we could get on the show. I think going away and totally working on me and putting myself first, valuing myself for the time that the contestant are away would change my life. Last season my husband jokingly commented “Why don’t you get on that show”, that hurt a bit and when my kids said “Yea, mom you should go on The Biggest Loser show”…OUCH!!!! It makes me wonder what my family really things of me.

Maybe Designer Whey will bring me to them and teach me the ways of health…lol. Did you know Designer Whey is on FaceBook??? I found out recently. Let me tell you, the people behind this product look amazing! They are beautiful people and really stand behind their products and rightfully so. Ok, I have to put a plug in for Andy because he is my Designer Whey buddy and support. OMGsh Andy, I had no idea you were such a cutie patutie! Whey to Go, keep your health and looks dude.

I will be glad when school starts so I can get back to routine. I need to start my day right now with my breakfast of a wonderful Designer Whey Shake, some fruit and a piece of whole wheat toast. I will get back to what works starting with breakfast. I have been skipping that part for a while now…not good. I need to start right to keep right. I need to carry my 2GO packs in the car like I did before. It’s too easy to stop at a drive-thru when you’re hungry. I need to carry my snacks in the car when I am working instead of a quick stop at a gas station to grab something that is not the best choice.

I have to value myself.

Take Care,
Camille

Remember I told you about mall walking? Well, my friend and I went walking Friday and it was a good walk. We talk and share so it is good for me to do that. I have to tell you there was this elderly couple twice my age that just did circles around me. My friend says, “Hey lets keep up with them!” Ok should not be a problem…yeah right…about half way around the mall I was like “I can’t do it…”and my friend says, “me either”…it is a sad day friends, when you can not keep up with someone in their 80’s. I envy that couple and am totally embarrassed that I could not even keep up a ½ lap of the mall. The mall is .8 miles per round and we did 4 laps so 3.2 miles in an hour. I don’t know if that is good or bad but I think if the elderly couple was passing me up its not so great. The good thing is I walked.
I like to say a funny thing or 2 when I blog, it’s usually something that is humorous to me so I hope I don’t offend anyone by making fun. I was thinking about “How to know you are too fat” and this is my personal reason of knowing that I am too fat…

You know you’re too fat when…
You will leave your shoes untied so you don’t have to bend down to tie them

You know you’re too fat when…
You are walking and an elderly couple can pass you in their wheel chair

You know you’re too fat when…
You have dunlap…

awww you don’t know what “dunlap”is? Well dunlap is when your gut dunlap your…
and I will leave it at that.

You know you’re too fat when…
Your young kids offer to hide the cookies from you

You know you’re too fat when…
You say, I can’t believe I ate the whole thing…every day

TADA! Thank you, thank you very much.

My youngest suffers from anxiety issues and when she is going through a bout of anxiety she can not eat…this last bout was over a bully at school and she lost 4 pounds…once we figured what the problem was she was able to open up and tell us but still could not eat. One day she asked if she could have a vanilla protein shake. I made it for her and she was finally able to drink it. I think because of the easy digestible protein she was able to keep it down and that allowed her stomach to be able to accept food again. So hats off to my Designer Whey Protein!

The scale has finally started to move down and that makes me so happy. I am on my ‘whey’ again.

So with that I will close and hope this finds you well and healthier then the day before.
Take care,
Camille from Michigan

I want to share about discipline in following our eating plan. When I free eat what I want, I eat way too much and extremely way too many calories. Designer Whey has a very cool diet plan. I have known about it for many months but really did not want to discipline myself to sit down, take the time and effort to use the system. I am going to make it a goal this week to really plan out my meals. The DESIGNER Protein Diet even prints out a grocery list…can we get any easier then that??? Now I even save time by not having to make a grocery list. The planning system is adaptable so I can plan my meals along with what my family likes too!

The other thing I need to do is wear my pedometer it helps me realize the lack of exercise I get and it’s exciting to see it roll over with each step, helping remind me how good life is. If you reach the 10,000 step mark, that is 5 miles a day. There have been several days that I would get about ¼ of that…no wonder I am struggling to lose this weight for as long as I have carried it! It is not rocket science on how to lose weight…the bottom line is you have to burn more calories then what you eat…there is no getting around that. There is no magic pill because I have tried them all. It is disciple and self worth that will help you become the healthiest

Check it out! Use the system.

Plan a program that works for you. The only diets that fail are those designed for everyone… we are made unique, we like different tastes, flavors and cooking styles. It just makes sense to create your own diet that works for you. We know what helps us lose weight; we all have lost hundreds of pounds. Use your knowledge. One plan says get back to the basics, fresh fruits, veggies, and good quality protein. Stay away from processed foods and sugar. Use natural sweeteners if you need them. Drink plenty of water, at the very least 64 ounces.

Can we lose weight and keep it off? YES WE CAN!

Ps. It is snowing here today…wake me up for summer.

It just seems I have no time for anything and I need my blog to help me keep accountable. I need my readers supporting my journey. In the past the 30 pound mark has been a turn back to gaining mark and I want to avoid that. I am still using my Designer Whey products, which I love! I need to get a new boost of excitement and kick my butt in gear. I need to increase my activity levels.

I feel so guilty as my oldest daughter is struggling too…and the fact it that she is practicing what I have taught her…that is hard to take in…yet, I can’t figure out why that does not motivate me…my goodness, its my girl and I am responsible for her health. I make the food, I buy it. I have no right to not teach her a healthy way to live. Hard to do when I myself have never accomplished that. All I can do is to keep trying.

I am still working at it. Never give up. Can we lose this weight?…YES WE CAN!

Hello Friends,

I know it seem like I fell off the face of the earth but I am here. My computer had been disconnected as we remodel one room and moved me to my own area that way no one has to look at my piles… DON’T TOUCH my piles is my motto. That involves also [...]

Hello Friends,

I know it seem like I fell off the face of the earth but I am here. My computer had been disconnected as we remodel one room and moved me to my own area that way no one has to look at my piles… DON’T TOUCH my piles is my motto. That involves also moving the cables and cords; it’s not a simple task of just moving the computer.

We ripped out carpet thinking we had beautiful wood floors under the carpet until we got half way across the room… so now instead of an easy job we are going to have to strip and sand the oak floors… but it will be worth it! I should have warned you all I would be off line but when hubby decided to move my desk it was a take it down now thing.

Good news. I have finally made my 30 pound goal. It sure seemed like moving a ton of bricks, one at time…but my persistence paid off. I like to make goals of 10 pounds at a time so towards the 40 pound mark I am off! I also took a vegan cooking class which is very interesting. I am not vegan but it was fun to explore different taste and most of the food was really great tasting so that helps make it fun to try.

I just love my 2GO packets, I tell ya, you should carry them in your car… then the decision to grab some fast food is all ready made. The 2GO packets are very fast indeed, open a bottle of water then a packet of your favorite 2GO flavor (I like the orange or berry flavors), pour it in and shake… though I will warn you… don’t pour the powder if your window is down and the wind is blowing! You will have powder all over you and the car.

My kids love trick or treating but it really makes it difficult for those of us trying to lose weight and here comes our kids a huge bag of treats. My kids are generous. They know I love Snickers and Reeses, though this year they only shared a few since “…you’re on a diet, Mom”, “…you only get 3″. Which I was kind of glad because when they are gone they are gone. Ya right, I did find my self sneaking an extra treat…shame on me! It seems Halloween starts the seasons of gaining weight. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year then Valentine’s, all holidays where candy and food are involved… UGH…good thing we have our Designer Whey Products to keep us in line with NOT gaining all the weight we usually would.

I sure hope this finds you well,

I ate cookies, 6 of them, a big bowl of popcorn fully loaded, 2 bowls of cereal… of course the guilt after words is hard to deal with… like why did you do that to yourself??? I have no reason. It was a nice day, just seemed over whelming. I tend to do everything for everyone but myself. Then get in a pity mode because nothing is left for me. House is trashed…ya think the family would pitch in and help get it back in order…NOoooo cuz mom/wife always takes care of it. To all the kids and spouses out there…sometimes mom is tired and ya need to pitch in to help her out!
