Today seemed like a bad day. I just could not keep in control . I ate cookies, 6 of them, a big bowl of popcorn fully loaded, 2 bowls of cereal… of course the guilt after words is hard to deal with… like why did you do that to yourself??? I have no reason. It was a nice day, just seemed over whelming. I tend to do everything for everyone but myself. Then get in a pity mode because nothing is left for me. House is trashed…ya think the family would pitch in and help get it back in order…NOoooo cuz mom/wife always takes care of it. To all the kids and spouses out there…sometimes mom is tired and ya need to pitch in to help her out!

 

Well, there I feel better… Think I will make me a shake even though I don’t need the calories after my pity party…but tomorrow is a new day…

Sometimes it feels like ground hogs day!

 

I am taking a nutritional health class. It includes vegan style cooking, though I am not vegan I thought it would be fun to lean how to cook some dishes. Most if it’s been really good tasting. They also give health lessons on how to avoid various diseases and keeping healthy. One thing said was very interesting. If you are coming down with a cold or the flu to cut out ALL sugar for a few days and you will get better faster then ever. Sugar in any form slows down our body’s ability to produce the good bacteria that kills viruses.

 

I really wanted to have something sweet this evening…good thing I did not have anything except my Chocolate Peanut Caramel Designer Whey Powder Mix. I whipped up a thick shake and it satisfied the craving…whew… I am so happy I found Designer Whey. I even have my neighbors using it too!

Happy Friday Friends,

 

YUMMY!!!

 

You have to try this, it is sooooo tasty. Your mouth just waters with the intense flavor burst, satisfying the sweet tooth, plus the natural fiber of mango…priceless.

 

1 ripe mango, peeled and sliced

½ ripe banana

½ cup Almond Milk

1 pack Protein 2GO Orange Mango flavored

6-8 ice cubes

 

Put in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy…WOW! If you love push-ups or orange cream popsicles this is the concoction for you! I had this for breakfast and I felt great after! Like taking in a huge breath of fresh air.

Hey…Hey…Hey…Friends

 

Weighed in and finally the scale moved! 3 pounds gone…imagine 3 pounds of butter removed from your body :-) ). 1 more pound until the 30 pound mark which, if I had not gained a pound I would be there…darn, should have went to the bathroom right before weigh in…When I hit the 30 pound mark I will post in the forum some start pictures and current pictures.

 

Acid Reflux…I learned one of the reason over weight folk suffer from this condition is that our stomachs are not aligned properly. When you have a protruding gut it pulls your stomach out of alignment therefore food can not digest properly or in a timely manner. I used to down a bunch of Tums or Rolaids before bed in hopes of making it through the night with out waking up to the sour taste and burning in my throat feeling. I am not sure if Designer Whey has made this study but I think they might want to consider it. When I have my whey shake before bed instead of an unhealthy snack like chips or ice cream, I sleep through the night! I do not get an acid reflux attack. I conclude that the Designer Whey product must digest easily and has some kind of anti-acid effect, at least for me. Ah, a commercial…happy lady sleeping peacefully with an empty glass next to her from a Designer Whey mix she drank just before bed… then in another house, poor lady waking up every few hours popping anti-acids in her mouth, looking tired and angry… Hey, I will play the happy lady! LOL

 

Well, I am up early this rainy fall morning so I think I will go to the bathroom and lose that pound…just kidding…I know… I have a weird sense of humor…but hey, that is me.

Just another manic Monday….

 

Wow Friends, I am just amazed at how fast time flies…just goes to show you that we must make the best of the present time, let go what has passed and plan for our tomorrow. We have been so busy I forgot to blog! UGH… Well, rest assured I did not forget about my ‘Designer’ friends.

 

My 16 year old is just like her mommy…she loves sweets… not a horrible thing if you can control it…she came up with this very sweet smoothie…

 

6 oz water

1 small banana

¼ cup strawberries

1 2GO light and lean mixed blueberry

 

Place all in the blender add ice to your liking and enjoy…

 

It is sweet, that is for sure…but hey, if kids like it…give them their ‘whey’! I bet you could freeze it and make a great frozen treat…hmmm I’ll have to try that!

 

I seemed to be stagnant in my weight loss…not gaining not losing…it is frustrating but my fault… got to stick to my plan and goals. I sure wish more friends would join me in the weight loss forum here at Designer Whey. Come on in and join me, let’s support each other on the journey to health.

Happy Hump Day Friends!

 

October…whoa…and here in Michigan it’s starting to get a bit nippy in the morning. Even turned on the heat! I grew up in Marquette MI and I tell ya it gets cold there.

 

I tried the Weight Control Chocolate flavored mix. When they say “Quick Easy” they are telling the truth. This mixed easy with just a spoon, no clumps or chunks and tasted pretty good too. I really like the powders in ice water. The chocolate reminds me of that Yoohoo chocolate drink and the strawberry 100 calorie reminds me of SoBe Lizard drink but whey better for you. That’s for sure! I think Designer Whey products are great. I recommend all my friends to try them. OK, Designer Whey…here is my inventions with your products…100 calorie snack packs, kids drink boxesJ, frozen treats and pudding mixes. Let me know when you have them done so I can buy some.

Put some spice in your life!

Eating healthy can be BORING and boring leads to eating the wrong foods, I personally know this. Not being prepared leads to doing the grab and go method of eating and what you grab is usually not the best choice.

Here are some of my tips that work for me.

LOVE your crockpot! Put your meat frozen in the crockpot, toss in some spices, turn on and go to work! When you come home all you have to do is make some sides and enjoy! If you have a rice cooker with warmer you can make that before you leave for work too. If cooking white meat set the pot on low if cooking red meat set it on high.

Bored with chicken??? Sprinkle some Louisiana Hot Sauce on the chicken.  It is great on rice too!

Don’t want to exercise? Try walking the dog!

Hey Friends,

 

I just tried the Aria Women’s Protein and it really tastes good! I came across the Aria vanilla flavor at our local store and of course saw the Designer Whey label and bought some. I discovered a new favorite meal shake; to me it tasted like banana nut bread.

 

1 cup water

2 scoops Aria

1 small ripe banana

Dash of cinnamon

Drop or 2 of Almond extract

Ice to your liking

 

Place all in a blender then enjoy!

Geez…the weekend went by fast. It seems we are so busy lately but here we are Monday again and that too is almost gone. Every tick of the clock is a tick that has passed never to come through again. I think the 40-50 ages are a difficult time. Maybe that is because I am falling into that age group. This age our kids are pretty much independent other then a ride or a few bucks, they pretty much are set in their ways. Then our own parents are hitting into the elderly stage. There is just so much uncertainty. Uncertainty if we did a good job with the time we already have lived and uncertainty of what is to come. I mean, we have getting our kids through college, marriages, grand babies, retirement, which all seems so far away. Yet we take a look at how fast the time has already passed, it all is mind boggling. So what are we to do??? Do we mingle and wonder or do we press on doing our best to live a good life? Is it too late to be our healthiest? NO WHEY! I think we have to work harder to be our best and I intend to do that.

 

I hope this brings you a good long healthy life full of the best blessings possible.

Hey Friends Friday is here already! Time sure flies.

 

It is a beautiful day here is Michigan. Leaves are starting to change. Nice and sunny not too hot. Get out and walk!

 

 I like walking but I have a hard time wanting to get going. I try to have walking dates with friends to keep me accountable to go walking. I also get paid to walk a dog every day at noon for a potty break. The dog gets to go potty and I get a walk in for my self and get paid too!

 

I envy people who love to exercise…to be honest I like the results but I have a difficult time saying to my self get up and move or taking a class or following a video. So I have to come up with cleaver ideas to trick myself into exercising… how lame is that? I guess what ever works we do. I wish I had a self driven attitude to do the right things for my body but I don’t. It takes a lot of work on my part to continue a plan. If I could figure out why I try to sabotage myself, I think I could unlock the problem with obesity!

 

I took a nutrition class and the lady told me I am fat because I do not eat enough food. The right foods that is, I looked at her like she was crazy…huh, I am fat because I do not eat enough? My labs showed I was malnourished! I thought it was crazy. I thought I had to eat as little as possible to get the weight off, when in truth I was starving myself fat.

 

I have lost close to 30 pounds by eating the right foods in the right amounts. I do not like to make 6 meals a day. That is one reason I love Designer Whey products. I can get a good meal full of what my body needs to become healthy in a quick mix it and go method, which works for my busy schedule. I feel better every day. I slip some days but when that happens I tell myself to get back on track and move forward.
