Post Low Carb Shakes

Hi, I'm new to this site and thought I would post a couple of recipes. If you have questions, comments, suggestions, please feel to email at carolesaylor@hotmail.com I moved to Costa Rica two years ago from Arizona. Quite a change. Anyway, here are the recipes.

Chocolate Shake
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup mild flavored sour cream (here it is called Natilla) cottage cheese would work but I don't like the flavor as well and it is not available here.
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 teaspoon sugar free vanilla (almost impossible to find here)
5 to 7 packets of artificial sweetner according to how sweet you like it. I use five of Sweet and Low but will have to switch to Splenda when my SnL runs out because it is not available here.
1 scoop of Chocolate Designer Whey
1 to 1 and a half cups of crushed ice.
Put all in a blender and blend for 15 to 30 seconds. At about 30 seconds it is very thick. Too thick for me because I like to drink it like a milkshake.

Fruit flavor Shakes (fruit smoothies are big here in Costa Rica)
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup mild flavored sour cream (here it is called Natilla) cottage cheese would work but I don't like the flavor as well and it is not available here.
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 teaspoon sugar free vanilla (almost impossible to find here) or other flavoring to your liking such as coconut, orange, etc.
5 to 7 packets of artificial sweetner according to how sweet you like it. I use five of Sweet and Low but will have to switch to Splenda when my SnL runs out because it is not available here.
1 scoop of Vanilla Praline Designer Whey
1/2 to 1 teaspoon unsweetened Kool-Aid or Clight powder (not liquid) in the flavor of your choice. I don't know if Clight is available in the states but it has artificial sweetner in the powder, so you may need to add more sweetener if you use Kool-Aid. Kool-Aid is not available here.
1 to 1 and a half cups of crushed ice.
Put all in a blender and blend for 15 to 30 seconds. At about 30 seconds it is very thick. Too thick for me because I like to drink it like a milkshake.

I used orange flavoring and orange flavored Clight powder in the shake recipe above and it tasted like an Orange Julius. Clight also has a Maracuya flavor (Passion Fruit) that is wonderful. Pineapple is also great.
